Mental health first aid training launches in the community

Bridge, the charity which hosts the Recovery Place, is set to deliver vital mental health first aid training to the community.

Courses are to be delivered by accredited trainers at a variety of venues across the borough. We deliver MHFA training in a facilitated workshop environment which is designed to engage all learning styles.

We will deliver the Mental Health First Aid training over a two-day period with a more flexible MHFA ‘Lite’ one day program. Flexible time slots, including evenings and weekends are being provided to accommodate shift and bank workers and to allow everyone to attend the courses.

We expect to deliver 7 each of the full two-day Mental Health First Aid England accredited courses and the Mental Health First Aid England ‘Lite’, making 14 courses in total across the nine-month duration of the project. Each 2-day course will have a maximum of 15 learners providing 105 places and the MHFA Lite course has a maximum of 25 learners providing 175 places. In total the program will deliver up to 280 people who have received one or other of the training programs.
